This week’s edition of Salaam Shalom: Report on Palestine/Israel is devoted entirely to Israel’s latest massacres in and attacks on the Gaza Strip, code named “Operation Protective Edge,” which began on July 8. As of July 24, more than 700 Palestinians had been killed and 4,000 injured, 80% of whom are civilians. 32 Israeli soldiers and 3 civilians had been killed so far. The program will feature reporting from Gaza by journalists Harry Fear of Russia Today and Sharif Kaddouis of Democracy Now. It will also include a riveting interview with Mads Gilbert, a Norwegian doctor serving at al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, and political commentary by Norman Finkelstein, Mouin Rabbani, Phyllis Bennis and Vijay Prashad, courtesy of Democracy Now and the Real News Network. These four will provide wide-ranging political and historical analysis of Israel’s latest war on Gaza, the third in six years, that is not available from the mainstream media.
